The Elms Home & Living are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Barista / Waiting Staff to join our front-of-house team on a full-time basis.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced café environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, efficiency in service delivery, and the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanour during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

Greeting and seating customers in a warm and courteous manner
Taking and processing orders accurately using a point-of-sale system
Preparing and serving beverages and light food items, as required
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
Assisting in the preparation and display of stock in the service area
Managing customer queries or complaints in a professional and efficient manner
Supporting the kitchen and management teams as needed to ensure smooth daily operations


Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic with a proactive and adaptable attitude
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
A professional appearance and commitment to maintaining hygiene and service standards
Availability to work weekdays and weekends, with flexibility around shift patterns
Must be available full time (All year round)
Desirable

Barista experience is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with HACCP procedures is a plus
