Product Care Guide

Upholstery

Daily care

  • Vacuum with a soft-brush attachment, lift cushions to catch grit.
  • Rotate/flip loose cushions every 1–2 weeks to even wear.

Spot cleaning

  1. Blot spills: never rub.
  2. Check the cleaning code on your product tag:
  • W= water-based cleaner
  • S= solvent only
  • WS= either is safe
  1. Pre-testin an inconspicuous spot. Dry with a hair-dryer on cool.

Deep clean

  • Professional clean every 12–18 months, essential for light colours and performance fabrics.

Leather

  • Dust weekly with a lint-free cloth.
  • Every 3 months, wipe with a barely damp cloth. Follow with a leather-care cream.
  • Keep atleast 60 cm away from direct radiators or stoves.
  • Never use baby-wipes, bleach, or all-purpose cleaners. They break down top-grain finishes.

Wood (Solid & Veneer)

  • Use coasters and felt pads. Wood is porous and will mark.
  • Clean with a barely damp cloth. Dry immediately.
  • Twice a year, feed oiled finishes with a furniture oil recommended by maker. Avoid silicone sprays.
  • Direct sun will darken oak and fade walnut. Rotate accessories seasonally.

Stone & Marble

  • Marble is sealed and wax-polished only (no synthetic top-coat). Blot spills inside 60 seconds.
  • For stains: dampen area, apply pH-neutral soap, rinse, then allow to dry 10 hrs before re-waxing.
  • Avoid vinegar, citrus, wine, or bathroom cleaners. They etch natural stone.

Metal Frames & Hardware

  • Wipe with warm, mild soapy water; dry fully.
  • Brass-plated parts. Polish sparingly with a non-abrasive metal cream. Expect gentle patina over time.
  • For powder-coated steel, use touch-up kits.

Outdoor Materials

Frames

  • Wash aluminium, resin-wicker, and powder-coated steel with warm soapy water & rinse.
  • Apply a UV-protection oil to acacia or teak-look wood once a season. DO NOT pressure-wash.

Cushions

  • All-weather fabrics are water-repellent, not waterproof. Store in a breathable box during persistent rain.
  • Remove covers (if zipped) and machine wash cool. Air-dry only.

Winter

  • Use breathable furniture covers. Raise frames on risers to allow airflow beneath.

Lighting (Glass, Ceramic, Metal)

  • Switch off and cool first.
  • Dust shades with a microfiber cloth. Glass can be cleaned with diluted vinegar (avoid drips onto metal).
  • Tighten threaded components annually.

Textiles & Rugs

  • Wool & jute rugs: vacuum with beater-bar OFF. Rotate twice a year.
  • Spot-clean wool with cold water and neutral soap. Blot jute dry with cornflour.
  • Linen throws. Machine-wash cold, line-dry. Expect natural shrinkage.

Artwork & Mirrors

  • Hang away from moisture vents and direct UV.
  • Clean glass with ammonia-free cleaner sprayed onto a cloth (never onto the frame).
  • Canvases: Dust lightly. Do not use liquids.
